I need new rubber and was debating whether to plasti dip first, not caring about overspray, then replace the tires, but I am concerned about how the dip will hold up to unmounting and remounting tires. As you didn't mask your tires, what did you do about the overspray? Since you sprayed them off of the car, I assume you sprayed your lug nuts separately. There are gloss coats that you can add to the paint to make it glossy. It's also pretty easy to clean, which surprised me since it is a flat texture. When it was on the front of the GTO, I really never had to touch it up. I haven't ever had any problems with it damaging paint, so I find those concerns ill founded. Ease of removal is even easier as long as you applied multiple layers-basically, the more coats, the easier it is to peel off. On the MSM, I painted my windshield surround (Ferrari 599 GTO status) about a month ago and it still looks great!Īs long as you tape off areas where you don't want it, the ease of application is excellent. I also did it on the front/lower/center part of the Goat too and eventually got it painted black too. I used it on the rear part of my GTO (between the taillamps) and I liked it so much, I had the cover painted gloss black. The ultimate reason why I like it is that it gives me an easy visualization of what things would look like if I got them painted. I'm going to give it a whirl on my wheels in the next few months. ![]() Both which are not usually useful in a community. If you think about it, the reverse of most of those categories typically feed into pride and elite-ism. There's a number of people who dislike the product, however, I'm inclined to think it's because of how cheap, easy, un-rare, reversible, and low risk it is.
